How to Leave and Join the Clash Team in League of Legends

Being a competitive game in a rapidly expanding esports and gaming industry, League of Legends must maintain its momentum and find new and innovative ways to attract new players.

Given the nature of LoL, being a multiplayer online battle arena creates a good opportunity for the development of various competitive systems and game mods.

Great examples of that are the ranked draft games, where you compete with other players, earn league points, and rise in tiers and divisions. The newer competitive mod they introduced was Clash.

โ€œClash is like an in-game tournament for all the players who are willing to participate. It is a great place to join a team or create your own. During these tournaments, you can meet new people and form new friendships. Participating in them will make you feel the thrill of an Esport tournament from the comfort of your home. This type of mode brings the experience of being ranked to a new level.

What Exactly is Clash?

As previously stated, the clash is an in-game League of Legends tournament. Being tested over the years and constantly added and removed, it finally finds a place in our clientsโ€™ lives once again.

Clash is a tournament for players, but not everyone is eligible- to participate. There are a few basic requirements that you have to meet in order to join or create your own team. If you do not meet them, you simply can not access the tournament system.

The first and most basic entry requirement is that of the minimal level. To participate in Clash, you must be at least level 30 and have over twenty champs, just like in the ranked games. A new requirement compared to the competitive mod. Is that- you need to have your first ten provisional/placement matches completed. That means that you need to have attained a tier and a division before you can play in Clash.

Next comes the verification. To be able to continue and join the tournaments, you have to complete an SMS verification of your account. To do so, you have to go to your clash tab, click on your team, and then confirm the SMS. You probably know how to proceed. If you donโ€™t, just add your country code. If you donโ€™t know it, you can google it, then simply add your number and write it there. After that, all that is left is to wait for the SMS to come and proceed with the confirmation. It is as simple as that.

Now at this point, you have the minimal level, the champion, and your rank, and you have even completed the SMS verification. What is left is to get the clash ticket. You have to do it in order to enter a bracket.

There are two types of tickets: the standard one, which costs 975 blue essences or 195 RP, and the premium ticket, which can earn you more rewards and costs 975 RP. You have to choose one and use it in order to be able to play. If you are out of the blue essence and RP, you can ask a friend or teammate to buy you a ticket. Once you have your ticket, you can begin preparing for the clash matches.

Once you have covered all the requirements and you are ready, all that is left is to wait for the system to match you up with another team. At this point, follow the locking phase of the clash tournament. It locks because you have a time limit of thirty minutes to lock in and confirm your participation. That goes for all of your teammates as well, as if someone fails to do it, you will not be allowed to proceed with the match.

If all of your teammates, including you, have locked in, then the second phase will start. It is called the scouting phase. Similarly, like the previous, the name shows the purpose of this phase. You can check on the enemy team match-up, see their best champions, and any other various details, which you can acquire in more than one way. You can even use a third-party website to check how good the enemy team is.

The third and last phase is to pick your champions. It is similar to ranked drafts in that you have to take turns with the enemy and pick and lock your favorites. Trying to pick counter-picks is the best thing you can do in this phase of the game because it will give you an advantage.ย

How to Join the Team?

To participate in Clash in 2022, you have to be part of a team. In order to be part of one, you have to choose between a few options.

Make your own team. That is simple. Just open the game, go to the clash menu, and press Create Team. Once you do so, a window will show up, and you will have to input a team name and team tag. That is important as your team will go by the tag and name in the upcoming clash tournaments. After you figure the names out, you will need to pick up a logo that will represent you and your teammates. Once you are done, just click Save, and you are ready to go.

The second option is to join a team. To do so, you have to press on and find a team. You will then see a list of pre-existing teams for clashes. Just request to be accepted into any of them. You can also look for a particular one by writing their name in the search bar.

The third and last option is to toggle on the free-agent button. That will allow players with teams to see you, scout you, and invite you directly to join their teams to play with them.

How to Leave a Clash Team?

There are several ways to join a team, and there are also a few ways to leave one. Leaving a clash team is not something- that is recommended. Moreover, if the tournament is not over. This is because if you leave early and you have an upcoming game, your teammates will have a hard time with you calling in someone else and may not even be able to participate due to your actions.

Anyway, the first and simplest way to leave a team is by entering the clash menu on your client. You will see the team you are on. From there, just press the X which youโ€™ll see left of the Lock-in button. It will ask if you want to leave the team, and as this is what you want, just confirm it.

The second variant is just to delete the team if you are the one who created it. If you are sure that this is what you want, all you have to do is to press on the gear icon. Now scroll all the way down till you see the team settings, and there you are supposed to see a delete button. If you find it, just tap on it, and you will be asked to confirm the team deletion. That is it now you have left the team, and together with that, you helped your teammates do the same.

It is important to note that if you have locked in and confirmed that you will play, it will be nearly impossible to leave the team. You will have to wait till the tournament is over (usually the weekend), and only then can you proceed and leave your current team.

Prizes

Clash, like any other tournament, has its own set of prizes. That is important as, without them. There would be no players willing to participate. The rewards which you can reap from participating, climbing the tournament rankings are varied. Starting from victory points (for the banners) through logos, skin shards, OE, emotes, orbs, etc.

The different rewards depend on your level, as the better, you perform, the better rewards you will get. For example, the first-placed team can earn a Premium Ticket Capsule with 750 OE, 975 Skin Shard, 1820 Skin Shard, 1 Chibi Icon, and 750 Skin Shard, 1-gemstone, 1350 skin shard, 1350 skin, 1- logo.
