5 Best Supports for Jinx in Season 12

The release of Arcane really saw through the increase in the play rate of the champions shown in the show. Jinx is one of the main characters in the series and League fans just canโ€™t get enough of the story and made her one of the most played champions nowadays. Jinx is one late-game monster as her damage stats become insane once she reaches her item power spikes.

Jinx can be played with a passive support with lots of heals and utilities but she is also great with vanguard champions that can take a hit for her. With the addition of new items, we can be sure that there will be better playstyles for her and support this coming season 12.

5. Braum

Speaking of vanguard champions, Braum is one of the best champions out there to perform this task. Braum doesnโ€™t only stand as a wall for Jinx but his passive can also enchant Jinxโ€™s damage and use it even for peeling. His slows are great if Jinx still hasnโ€™t activated her get excited passive. Jinx receives a massive power spike every time she scores a takedown, but before that happens, she needs the enemies to be stunned or slowed down.

Best Item for Braum

Evenshroud

An item that makes champions fragile every time they are movement impaired. This is a great item on Braum as he can proc this itemโ€™s passive most of the time with most of his skill set. The increased damage the enemy receives complements Braums passive that also has a stun when procced. Its mythic passive also gives him bonus defensive stats for each legendary item he builds.

Different Playstyle For Each Phase

Early Game Playstyle

Braum has a strong synergy with Jinx and they can dominate the lane even in the early game if Braum knows what he is doing. Their level 3 power spike is quite OP more so if Braum can find an opening engage on the enemy. He can use allied melee minions to dash and close the gap between him and the enemy quickly. He can use the Hail of Blades keystone to immediately proc the stun on his passive and Jinx can easily follow up with her traps and laser.

Mid Game Playstyle

Engage and lane fights are much stronger in the mid-game simply because Braum has the Evenshroud item. He can even peel much better for Jinx now making it easier for her to finish enemies off without being damaged. Jinxโ€™s W also synergizes well with Braumโ€™s slow abilities. If she has a Runaanโ€™s hurricane item, she can even proc multiple stuns on multiple enemies.

Late Game Playstyle

Play defensively in the late game as Braum as all you have to do is prevent enemies from getting near Jinx. If you have a lead, you can stay at the frontlines and engage or initiate fights for jinx, otherwise stay beside her and just negate all projectiles coming her way.

4. Janna

Janna is the strongest passive laner peel champion in the game. Her CC and enchantments even have low cooldowns to put an incredible amount of pressure on the enemy. Her ultimate can also protect Jinx even from the likes of a fed master Yi. Janna also has an excellent early game poke potential thanks to her W and the Aery rune. Her E is also an excellent enchanting ability that shields and boosts Jinxโ€™s damage at the same time.

Best Item for Janna

Ardent Censer

Jannaโ€™s main peeling ability is a shield that increases the offensive stats of an ADC. This item will further improve the bonus damage that Janna can give Jinx and it also increases the amount of shield that Janna gives to Jinx.

Different Playstyle For Each Phase

Early Game Playstyle

Janna has the option to play aggressively by placing her Q wisely and using it as an initiation for a kill, or she can play passively by maxing her E. Jannaโ€™s engage is pretty weak in the early game so it is wiser to play passively and let Jinx reach her item power spike. After all, Jinx is a champion that needs babysitting so she can snowball to the late game.

Mid Game Playstyle

Janna really shines in the mid-game as a champion that can peel really hard. Her abilities have slow, knockbacks and airbornes. When mid-game comes, Jinx can easily farm in any lane even if there is a threat of an assassin on the enemy team. Janna can even be a frontline champion as her CC abilities have very low cooldowns.

Late Game Playstyle

Stay in the backline and act as the utility belt for the team. Anything they need, you should have by now through your spells and active items. Whatever Jinx is in, try to mitigate it by building the right items early on. This way, Jinx can simply hit enemies and get away with it.

3. Nami

Nami is an excellent engage enchanter. All of her spells speed up Jinxโ€™s movement speed and that alone comes as a huge value for Jinx as she relies on movement speed for kiting. Namiโ€™s E also provides bonus damage for Jinx and it slows enemies every time it is procced. Nami is an all rounder that can play all kinds of playstyle throughout the game, sadly she has a low pick rate but this can be a good thing as playing Nami can come out as cheese.

Best Item for Nami

Evenshroud

This new item is really OP especially for enchanter supports like Nami who also has crowd controls. Even shroud makes enemies fragile and receives more damage, Nami can even further improve this damage by enchanting Jinx with her E ability.

Different Playstyle For Each Phase

Early Game Playstyle

Engage enemies with youโ€™re a Q whenever you find an opening as this can lead to a W follow up by Jinx or an E to extend the CC duration. You can play aggressively in the early game by leveling your W and Q first. These are damaging abilities that can be used to poke and the enemyโ€™s retaliation will be useless.

Mid Game Playstyle

Try to find kills using your ultimate as it is an excellent engage ability. It has a knock-up and a follow-up slow making it easier for Jinx to position herself better. If you manage to gain a lead in the early game, be aggressive with Jinx as your spells have great synergy. You can also peel for each other so you donโ€™t have to worry about committing mistakes as you can sequence your spells.

Late Game Playstyle

Namiโ€™s late game is pretty much the same as her mid-game, if she doesnโ€™t die so much in the mid-game, her value wonโ€™t fall off in the late game. Nami should focus on using her abilities as a peel for Jinx and if you manage to secure a lead, you can use your abilities as a means for an engage.ย

2. Yuumi

Yuumi excels at speeding champions up and amping their movement speeds. Jinx is an excellent kiting ADC if she has high movement speeds. Yuumi also synergizes with Jinx as she can use her Q to slow enemies down making it easier for Jinx to chase them or hit them with her W.

Yuumi doesnโ€™t lose late game value as well because the higher her stats is, the higher offensive stats she can give Jinx. This champion also doesnโ€™t need to think about positioning as she can simply attach to Jinx all the time and only detach if she needs to heal.ย

Best Item for Yuumi

Ardent Censer

Yuumiโ€™s frequent healing and low cooldowns make this item a great synergizing item for Jinx. Ardent amplifies Jinxโ€™s already impressive attack speed and it also amps her damage up by giving her bonus on-hit magic damage. The fact that this item is also a low-cost item makes it really valuable.

Different Playstyle For Each Phase

Early Game Playstyle

Try to play as defensively as possible because Yuumi is pretty weak in the early game. Her value comes from her movement slows on the enemy and from her low cooldown heals. She can use her Q to lightly poke enemies which can also be used so Jinx can easily hit her Zap ability.

Mid Game Playstyle

The adaptive damage you give jinx is much higher now as well as the bonus movement speed you give her. Making her do more aggressively plays as she can engage and disengage easier.

Late Game Playstyle

With Jinxโ€™s high movement speed from her passive and yours, itโ€™ll be much easier to root all enemies with your ultimate. Jinx can use your ultimate to initiate fights or even disengage from assassins.

1. Leona

With the introduction of the Evenshroud, CC supports can now dominate the bot lane. The effect of this item also works really great for Jinx as she relies on basic attack damage come late game. Leona gives Jinx such an easy time to kite enemies from start to finish, her long-range CCโ€™s can be used to peel and initiate for Jinx. She also has long durations on her CC making it easier for Jinx to hit her chompers and Zap.

Best Item for Leona

Evenshroud

Leonaโ€™s long-range and low cooldown CC abilities give Evenshroud a great value on Leona. Her passive also synergizes with this item as it also gives bonus magic damage every time she hits enemies with a spell.

Different Playstyle For Each Phase

Early Game Playstyle

Leonaโ€™s early game aggressiveness works great on Jinxโ€™s long-range abilities. Once she has plated greaves it is also possible for her to perform an early game tower dive along with their Jungler.

Mid Game Playstyle

Unexpected long-range engages are Leonaโ€™s best mid-game tactic. With Jinxโ€™s long-range abilities, they can easily dominate the bot lane and even other lanes. Play aggressively every time your ultimate is up and use this to engage enemies. It will be an easy pick when you hit squishy ADCโ€™s with your stuns and they wonโ€™t be able to do much in return as your CC durations are very long.

Late Game Playstyle

Stand in the vanguard and do not let anyone get past you. Jinxโ€™s late game damage is insane that is why you need to use all of your resources to protect her. Her long-range late game damage is enough to demolish the entire opposing team. Use your stuns to initiate if the enemies donโ€™t have backline access but stay beside Jinx if assassins are present in the opposing team comp.
