What is Clash?
Clash is basically a League of Legends tournament, team-based, where teams compete to win special prizes. Clash first appeared in 2017, and the second official beta version was in 2019. Riot has worked hard to fix all the bugs and crashes, so Clash is now at the highest level.
To participate in this tournament, you must meet three criteria: first, you must reach level 30, then you must have completed placements games in at least one ranked queue, and lastly, your League of Legends account must be verified via SMS. Well, in addition to these three criteria, you have to buy tickets.
There are two types of tickets for the Clash tournament – Basic Ticket, which costs 975 BE or 195 RP, and Premium ticket, which costs 975 RP. The difference between these two tickets is that you get the chance to win more prizes and better prizes if you win during the tournament with the Premium Ticket.
Once you meet all the conditions and buy a ticket, you are ready for the tournament. You can set up your competition team or play as a free agent. Each team must have a captain who determines the team name, tag, and logo. The tier to which your team will belong depends on the player’s ranks. Riot also provided substitutes if one member of your team cannot participate in the competition for one day.
His substitute must be from the same tier and only submit one ticket. At the end of the match, the substitute player will win the prize, and the unavailable player will lose the prize. The bracket is a straightforward eight-team bracket. So, if your team wins the first match, it faces the winner of the second match. Are There Any Special Rules for the Clash Tournament?
In fact, there are. The / pause and / remake options are disabled so that there is no unnecessary extension of the tournament or to avoid some toxic players who may want troll other players. If the match lasts longer than 50 minutes, at 55 minutes, the turrets lose magic resistance and armor. At 60 minutes, the turrets, inhibitors, nexus turrets, and the nexus itself lose a certain percentage of maximum health every 30 seconds.
By entering the 70th minute of the match, one of the two teams automatically becomes the winner. Random algorithms will decide who will win the match if no team has crashed any structure. These rules are set so that matches are not unnecessarily prolonged and last indefinitely.
What About The Prizes?
Ah, the prizes. Prizes are perhaps the biggest motivation for players to sign up and participate in Clash tournaments. Each time players win a match, and they win 200 Victory Points that can serve them to unlock the rewards.

When is the next League of Legends Clash tournament?
The last World Clash tournament was held on two weekends in 2021: Saturday, October 2, and Sunday, October 3. Weekend 2 of Clash was held on Saturday, October 16, and Sunday, October 17.
Great news for 2022. Riot has announced that the new Clash tournament will be held on January 14 and 15, 2022. It will be all Ornn themed and called the Forge God Clash tournament. Prizes for the best will be: 3 Trophies, 3 Banners, and 5 Team Logos, but keep in mind that this is not an official Clash tournament, so the result will not affect your Victory Points.
