Best URF Duo Synergies To Try Out With Friends!

Best URF Duo Synergies To Try Out With Friends!

Meet URF; the foster child of Summoner’s Rift and steroids! With so many options to choose from, the line between the good URF duo synergies and bad ones can blur – especially when playing with friends!

What works in the normal Summoner’s rift will probably crash pretty badly in the fast and reaction-dependent environment of URF.

So, to help you adapt, and dominate this new environment, we’ve concocted a list of some of the best duo synergies that can help you land W after W in URF. With that said, let’s jump right in!

10. Mundo + Draven

10. Mundo + Draven

This is more of a stock standard. You’ve got reliable glasscanon level damage hitting nukes after nukes from the backline while Dr. Mundo keeps on tanking like he’s got nothing better to do.

The early game might be a bit slow for this synergy, but with Mundo’s poke, and Draven’s axes, you’ll get by just find. Just be sure to avoid extremely long-range lanes, and assassins.

The last thing you’d want is your Draven dying before you get the chance to come online. Regardless though, pop Ghost on them, and it gets pretty hilarious and absurd at the same time!

9. Leblanc + Lee Sin

9. Leblanc + Lee Sin

Want to get straight into the enemy’s face, say hi, and go back while flaunting your smooth mechanics? This combo is fine-tuned for just that. While having the highest skill ceiling out of all the mentioned entries, things can get pretty nasty if you don’t bring your A game.

However, while it might feed hard and fast for you and your friend to execute, it’s an even bigger problem for the enemy lakers as they watch you dish dash your way out of everything.

Pair all of this with the reliable burst potential of Lee Sin and Leblanc, and you will be seeing a lot of cussing in the all chat!

8. Ekko + Taric

8. Ekko + Taric

Do you absolutely despise gray screen? We do too! Fortunately, the Taric + Ekko combo is here to save the day!

With the power of time convergence, Ekko can just go back in time if he’s about to die. That might feel pretty annoying in it’s own regard. However, it’s child’s play compared to the damage nullification buff that Taric’s Ultimate gives.

Pair both together, and you have borderline insane levels of immunity to death. But this is where things get frisky! You see, Taric is a stun-bot on top of being a healer, and Ekko is a chase-bot.

So everything combined, and you can’t run away from them, kill them, or do anything at all except seeing your nexus fall down to shreds.

7. Trundle + Udyr

7. Trundle + Udyr

The enemy team picked lots of bruisers? Oh, it’s time to do the same but better! Udyr – paired with Trundle, is one of the most hilarious yet practical “I’ll run you down” comps out there!

Let’s do a checklist; both deal borderline unfair amounts of damage, both can pretty much run you down, and both are capable of sustaining themselves. Equip them with the Ghost summoner spell, and see them zoom across the rift – deleting any foe on-sight.

The only short-coming of this comp is the lack of range, but it’s nothing some flash-on-their-face strategy can’t solve. Besides, the summoner spell cooldowns are also pretty low in URF, so it’s not a biggie!

6. Lux + Morgana

6. Lux + Morgana

What does Lux go that makes her so hated in the community? She roots you for half a lifetime. Apparently Morgana does the same, but her roots last till the end of a millenia.

Pair both together, and you can just perma-root an enemy till they give up any hopes of playing the game. As long as you and your URF duo has a half-decent aim, this strategy is all you need to rack those wins.

Concerned about waveclear? Lux’s E and Morgana’s W is enough for that. Oh, and you can always kamehameha (Lux R) your opponents whenever you get bored of perma-rooting them.

This strategy won’t get you any respect in the community, but it’s sure as hell entertaining to watch – unless you’re on the receiving end!

5. Thresh + Blitzcrank

5. Thresh + Blitzcrank

Similar to Lux and Morgana, Thresh and Blitzcrank are both champions that love to hook their opponents. Now, despite being supports, both of them have the options to go some crazy one-shot builds (AD Thresh, and AP Blitz).

Hide in the brush, camp the rivers, and do whatever you can in your power to land that first hook, then see the enemy health bars delete as the game itself gets confused at the amount of hooks being launched at supersonic speeds.

But before you summa-lumma, dooma-lumma on their faces, do remember that missing hooks can cost you dearly, as that’s pretty much everything your kit has. So get creative with your Duo, if you want to see some screams in the all chat!

4. Shaco + Yuumi

4. Shaco + Yuumi

Shaco is well-known for being a slippery little devil. The cooldown reduction in URF makes him near-impossible to catch. Every time you think you have him, it’s just a clone, or a box.

In-fact, the golden League of Legends’ rulebook states that one shall never chase a Shaco or a Singed. But how else do you kill him? By shaving his health little by little until he can’t stay in the lane.

Now, topping a Yuumi on him fixes that one weakness, and makes him susceptible to all kinds of foul language. He’s gonna proxy your lane, sit in your base, and quite possible kill you a million times, but there’s nothing you can go, so just surrender as soon as possible!

3. Yasuo + Malphite

3. Yasuo + Malphite

This one is a bit of a classic in the League of Legends world. Yasuo needs a knock-up and Malphite is there to provide it!

But what makes this even more annoying is the fact that Yasuo can deal with all the projectiles you throw at him while Malphite just has to press that R button as soon as it comes off cooldown.

There’s not much brain or critical thinking involved, just press R and win games. It’s not much but it’s honest work! Besides, Yasuo is known to be weak in URF. But with this, the game pretty much gets flipped on its head!

2. Leona + Zilean

2. Leona + Zilean

Leave them stunned for so long that they forget to play the game; that’s the concept behind this duo synergy. As we all know, Leona’s ability to stick to a target while stunning it is unparalleled.

Now, make her carry some Zilean bombs for extra damage, and your enemies won’t be having a good time. Plus, the enhanced movement speed and slows from Zilean aid in catching enemies from a mile away.

Leona about to die? Just revive her and continue the frenzy! All in all, there’s little to no counterplay to this comp, so rock it as much as possible before Riot decides to nerf it to the ground!

1. Jax + Renekton

1. Jax + Renekton

This is another version of the stock standard bruiser comp that deletes all the shortcomings of the strategy. You have Renekton to carry the early portion of the game, while Jax takes over the later part.

Both of their kits come packaged with stuns, damage reduction, and a ton of damage. So, if you accidentally decide to lane against this duo – be sure to bring something extremely safe and long-range, or they’ll just take over.

It’s pretty tough to shut their slowball down, even if you’re playing broken artillery mages. Therefore, we’d recommend you try it out for yourself and your friends to see how it works for you!

Conclusion

In essence, URF is all about choosing the perfect duo synergy and taking over the game with your teamplay.

There are lots of borderline unfair champions like Taric and Leona in the mix, but even they need an enabler to get them across that early line.

Once you’ve gotten the hand of the mentioned comps, be sure to mix and match to create your own formula of winning. While the process is tough, it’s also just as fun – especially when your friends got your back!
